What’s Going on This Summer?
Well I have not been posting much for a lot of reasons but the main one is that it has been extremely busy this summer both in my personal life and at the golf course but that’s what I live for.
The Shop
We are at the home stretch of our maintenance facility renovation with just a few finishing touches to add over the coming month. We are in the middle of the permitting phase for our new ESD wash station that should finish this facility project. I have to give credit to Four Seasons Orlando for giving me the opportunity to set the facility up the right way. Soon I will be adding the before and after photos to my website and what a difference has been made.
Turf Addict
As many know the IGCEMA has been dissolved now and is officially merged with GCSAA. The association was a great experience for me as I had the ability to travel around the world and meet a lot of great people in our industry. Now that I no longer have that to consume my afternoons and evenings I found a lot of spare time on my hands and I like to stay busy. So I decided to open up a new website Turf Addict. I wanted to create a website that only sold products that I have tried and believe to be some of the top in our industry. I hated purchasing items and then getting them and realizing that they are not what I thought or poor quality so this website will only be selling products that I have personally tried and believe to be of great value to my colleagues in the industry. This includes the IGCEMA’s RHOC height of cut gauge. You can visit the website at http://www.turfaddict.com .
In addition we are currently working on a new case for the RHOC height of cut gauge that can withstand being dropped a little better than it’s current one. You will be seeing it in the future.
Personal Life
Once I made the move back to Florida to be closer to home and after losing my step father to cancer my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. Talk about a tough couple of years! She is one of the strongest people I know and just announced last month after surgery and months of chemo that she is cancer free now. She took all this on while still working a full time job. How is that for tough?
Also my wife and I celebrated our 16th year of marriage this year and to celebrate we went fishing with Craigg Maret in Jupiter,FL. Not only was it Lori’s first time out but we managed to bring in a sailfish as well.
